It's not an Equality Model -It's an Entrapment Model

Some well intentioned, but misguided activists, have rebranded partial criminalization as "the equality model". Partial criminalization is when the sale of sexual services is not a crime, but the purchase of sex is a crime. In reality, when half of a transaction is illegal, the transactions take place in the shadows and are inherently criminal. Research has shown that partial criminalization makes sex work more dangerous and stigmatizes the people involved. Clearly, criminalizing one half of a transaction is not equal. A more accurate terminology is "the entrapment model".
